Welcome to Bullz-Eye Kennels. I am Sherry Miller and I have a small family-run kennel raising Olde English Bulldogges. I am just beginning to raise these wonderful companion dogs. I love dogs particularly Boxers and Bulldogs. I have owned Boxers for 7 years and just bought my first Olde English Bulldogge in April 2004. I have always wanted a Bulldog but was discouraged from all of their serious health problems. During my research on Bulldogs I ran across this rare breed - the OLDE ENGLISH BULLDOGGE. It was a dream come true – A great looking Bulldog without the health problems!
Olde English Bulldogges are a fairly new breed. They are a recreation of the original Bulldogge from the mid to late 1800’s. These are not AKC English Bulldogs. Olde Bulldogges are much healthier than AKC Bulldogs. My Bulldogges are free breathers and free whelpers, which means they do not have breathing problems like the AKC Bulldog; my dog’s noses are a bit longer enabling them to breathe better and they are built a bit taller - their bodies are proportioned correctly enabling the females to give birth naturally (artificial insemination or cesarean sections are not necessary). The Olde English Bulldogge is a very hardy working dog. They can withstand hot and cold temperatures (still needing proper shelter of course) and are very active dogs that always want to please their people.
After I just produced my first litter of pups and got my breeding program started, I unexpectedly lost my much loved, beautiful stud dog, Midas. After the heartache of loosing Midas and much debate about continuing breeding or not we decided to stick with it and continue with our plans of producing a great bulldogge. So we are pretty much starting over from scratch. We replaced our stud dog in February 2006 with a wonderful pup from Sullivan bloodlines. "Lex Luther" came from Sandy Wall at Kings River Bulldogges. He is a real nice boy from a line of legendary Bulldogges. Luther's grandfather is the well-known Sullivan's Judge. We have “Millie” who I bought from Sharon Nunley.Millie had her last litter of 5 beautiful puppies sired by Lex Luther in April 2006. She free-whelped them and was a great mother! We are so proud of her and she has given us exactly what we wanted in these puppies! Millie is now retired and will remain here with us and continue to be a part of our family. We hope her daughters May-Bull Lynn and Opal will follow in her footsteps in the show ring and in producing great looking, healthy puppies in the future. I appreciate all the help, advice, and knowledge that Sharon and Sandy have given me and the great dogges that they have started my foundation on.
My goal is to produce an exceptional Bulldogge free of health problems with a great temperament and big bully looks, which I feel I have some exceptional breeding stock to start with. I want my dogges to be a loving, loyal and an obedient member of your family so I strongly recommend puppy classes and obedience training for this breed as they can be very strong minded and need training. My goal is not only to produce a well rounded family pet but also to provide show prospect pups to those who are interested in getting involved in showing their Oldie. There are many activities for you and your Bulldogge to get involved in: conformation shows, weight pulls, obedience, agility, and many others. We have even placed one pup who ended up being a certified therapy dog! This breed can do so much, they are amazing!
We have a small kennel and we will only have a maximum of 2 litters a year. My dogs will be wonderful family pets and working dogs. All pups are raised in our home with children and other dogs and animals. They are socialized from day one to ensure they will be a great family pet. I also do temperament tests and evaluate each pup before it leaves for its new home. All of our adult dogges either live in the home with us or outdoors. Each dogge gets plenty of family time every day and we try to give each of them a job to make them feel like a useful, much needed part of the family. Olde Bulldogges are a working breed and love to work and play with their people! All Bullz-Eye pups' health and temperaments are guaranteed. My dogs are are registered with NBA (National Bulldogge Association), WBA (World Bulldog Alliance), and IOEBA (International Olde English Bulldogge Association).
Feel free to take a look at my dogs and contact me with any questions you may have. I update my site regularly - so keep checking back! Click on the above links and check out my Bulldogge Resources page to find out more about this great breed.
